i was entering the restore mode by pressing home and inserting the cable, but that enters you into &quot;iBoot&quot; mode which resulted in Unknow error 6.
then i entered the DFU mode ( Turn phone off. press power and home for ten seconds, release power button while still holding home for another ten seconds.) this should work.. it worked with me and the phone restored successfully</description>
